T-shirt design | Procreate & Illustrator
Eshomies 2022
T-shirts for the 2022 edition my family’s annual camping trip to Eshom Campground in the Sequoia National Forest. I collaborated with my sister on this project since she had wanted to experiment with her new Cricut and iron-on vinyl for t-shirts.
The title is a silly play on “Camping Homies” which is what we refer to ourselves during the trip.
See below for initial ideas, sketches, and process overview.
1. Sketches
Some sketches from a short brainstorming session to get a feel for what elements we wanted in the design.
2. Design
The initial design draft was created in Procreate.
The sketch was imported into Procreate, traced, and designed to make it possible for our vinyl-cutting tool to cut the shapes out.
Our prototype looked good, but the edges of the design file were rougher than expected. This made the cutting machine inefficient and made it more difficult for us to peel the vinyl.
Final draft of the logo redeisnged in Illustrator.
3. Final deliverable
Design file imported into cutting software and ironed onto 19 t-shirts
